Thanksgiving Day tips

It’s true that Thanksgiving preparations require some time and you probably will feel tired when the party begins. But let’s see this rush as compensation for the rest of the year when we are more sedentary than we should be.

One of the most pleasant activities for Thanksgiving Day is decorating the house. It might be a little tricky and requires some time and effort but after you see the home ready for the party you won’t feel any tiredness. It’s rather easy to decorate for Thanksgiving. You can make a gorgeous centerpiece using items you find in the house and funny Thanksgiving cards that everybody could see and read. Use a basket filled with fallen leaves, gourds, Indian pinecones, corn, corn husks, and place mini pumpkins around it. You can also use these things to decorate your home. A few well-placed autumn decorations will set the mood for Thanksgiving and will be a great addition to your living room.

Make sure you have clearly marked cards for each person at the table, so they will know where to sit. Also, be sure to leave enough room on the table for all your dishes. It’s a good idea to keep some extra chairs if any uninvited but desirable guest arrives. Another useful tip: place your guests regarding their sympathy one for each other and the things they have in common. That’s available for a big family, with all sorts of relationships and ages.

Thanksgiving must be a great day and nobody should be upset or tired. Let the exceptions happen very rarely and not into our families. Have a nice Thanksgiving!

Courage for expressing deep feelings in 2020

For this year’s Thanksgiving, making a warm greeting to each family member would be a really nice gesture. I know that we’re not used to doing verbal declarations, but sometimes this will help us and our close ones to get along better and to share wonderful moments at the Thanksgiving table.

Give thanks to your spouse for being near to you and to children, without who life would be just empty. Give thanks to your friends who are always beside you. Don’t forget to give thanks to your parents and grandparents who taught you valuable lessons and gave precious advice for your own good. Let’s give thanks to our colleagues who are fair to us and always offer a helping hand. We don’t have to forget the good neighbors, even the assistant from the store we shop daily.

If we’d afford a couple of hours at Thanksgiving to show our gratitude towards all these people using the free Thanksgiving cards, we’d be spiritually enriched and we’d take a step forward in all the relationships we developed. Let’s do this, at least for a year!
